The Neighborhood of Ansley On The Park


Ansley Park is Atlanta’s premier intown neighborhood. Founded in 1904, this vibrant neighborhood is nestled between world famous Peachtree Street, between the Woodruff Arts Center which houses the High Museum of Art, the Atlanta Symphony and the Alliance Theater and Piedmont Road, at Piedmont Park, Atlanta’s Central Park. Piedmont Park includes green spaces, playing fields, a lake, aquatic center tennis center, walking and jogging trails and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.

Located within Ansley Park are several large parks, some with play grounds, others with tennis courts and all with large green spaces.

Within and immediately adjacent to Ansley Park are Atlanta’s two oldest private clubs, the Ansley Golf Club and the Piedmont Driving Club. Both clubs have swim and tennis facilities and club houses with dining at their intown facilities. The Ansley Golf Club also has a nine hole course within Ansley Park. Both clubs have eighteen hole golf courses and club houses in another metro location.

Ansley Park has an active civic association which hosts neighborhood dining clubs, book clubs, lectures, street dances, barbecues and other functions. There is an active Ansley Park Garden Club and numerous informal social groups such as a lady’s bunco group.

Ansley Park homes range between $400,000. and $5,000,000. The neighborhood ranges from single family residences to apartments to condominiums. The styles include Craftsmen Cottages, Georgian, Mediterranean, Antebellum, Dutch Colonial and many others.

Ansley Park is centrally located. It is fifteen minutes from Emory University, Georgia State University, Georgia Institute of Technology and the Atlanta University Complex. It is located within twenty minutes of all of the professional sports venues and performing arts theaters. The neighborhood is within thirty minutes of the Atlanta’s Jackson Hartsfield International Airport.

The neighborhood is immediately adjacent to the Woodruff Arts Center, Piedmont Park and the Botanical Gardens and is within walking distance of restaurants, clubs and shopping.
